Cervical Cancer Treatments
Cervical cancer treatments (malignancy) are beyond colposcopy and cryosurgery; it requires chemo or radiation therapy and tissue removal.
They depend on the type and size of tumor, the age and general health of the patient, and the desire for future childbearing. The disease can be cured by surgical removing or destroying the pre-cancerous or cancerous tissue without removing the uterus so that a woman is capable of having children. In more advanced conditions, removal of the uterus is performed, with or without ovaries.
