Cervical Cancer Biopsy
Cervical cancer biopsy of a tissue sample is performed following an abnormal Pap smear or observation of a suspicious vaginal wart.
The tissue sample is collected by using small biopsy forceps or a large needle. In most cases more than one tissue sample is obtained. Repeated tests help to determine the development of abnormalities.

Cervical Cancer Biopsy -
Pap Smear, Vaginal Wart
A tissue sample is taken as a follow-up diagnostic tool to an abnormal pap smear. This sample is sent to a lab for analysis of the abnormal cells present on the cervix to more accurately determine the level of symptoms. A doctor will take a tissue sample from areas that appear to be abnormal from performing the colposcopy. The procedure is easy and not very painful.
